“Tapping at the Garden Gate” -  Tales of everyday life in the village of Sidbury in the 19th Century has been reprinted. It is on sale in St Giles’ Church in Sidbury, Devon at £5 per copy. Alternatively it is available by post from Bundells, Ridgeway, Sidbury, EX10 0SF at a cost of £6.50 which includes postage and packing. Cheques or Postal Orders should be made payable to ”Alan Softly”.

Alan Softly is the honorary archivist for the village. He will research anyone whose ancestors come from Sidbury. Please give names and dates, if possible. Fee £10. Queries should be addressed to:-
