Friends of St Giles

The Friends of St. Giles’ was founded in September 1982 to Support the Church of St Giles’ and encourage fellowship in the village of Sidbury. We meet six times a year for social occasions:-

JANUARY New Year Supper in the Village Hall. Wednesday 25th January 2012 7 for 7.30pm. Tickets £7.50 from the Secretary.

JUNE Coach Outing to Dunster Castle Wednesday 27th June. Details from Lawrence Boddington.

JULY Village Barbecue. Thursday 26th July.

OCTOBER Anniversary Luncheon

NOVEMBER Fund Raising Christmas Tea party

DECEMBER Carols with mulled Wine and Mince pies at the Church Door.

The Friends provide help on Thursday afternoons from the end of June to the end of September providing staff for the Sales table, Teas and Crypt duty during Alan Softly’s Church Tours.

The Friends also raise money and help with other events in the village including the Village Fete and the Harvest Thanksgiving during Sidbury Fair week.

Subscriptions are £5  per annum.
